Going Bovine Overview
Can Cameron find what he’s looking for?
All 16-year-old Cameron wants is to get through high school—and life in general—with a minimum of effort. It’s not a lot to ask. But that’s before he’s given some bad news: he’s sick and he’s going to die. Which totally sucks. Hope arrives in the winged form of Dulcie, a loopy punk angel/possible hallucination with a bad sugar habit. She tells Cam there is a cure—if he’s willing to go in search of it. With the help of a death-obsessed, video-gaming dwarf and a yard gnome, Cam sets off on the mother of all road trips through a twisted America into the heart of what matters most.

About the book: All Cameron wants graduates are doing and maybe get an appointment with the popular girl Stacy. When the 16-year-old Cameron was diagnosed with mad cow disease will, takes his life to make a fool. A punk-rock show called Dulcie Angel and Cameron said there is a cure with a mysterious Dr. X, which must go ahead and find them. With the help of a dwarf named Gonzo (the mother some questions) and a garden gnome may just be a Norse God, Cameron is their life during the trip.
It is an intoxicating book, and it is quite difficult to obtain in nearly 500 pages (or) twelve audio CDs in my case.It is also a book that is, if you ask how everything from plant to plant, it is beautiful and it was this trip or was it really? E 'provocative book craziest road trip I've ever met!
I have to write, Ms. Bray praise and I can see why this won the Printz. The letter intrigued me. I really think that she writes better than any other small print writer. Cameron read, just like my boy, really heard her voice was spot on. Only for those who have earned this book in yourAttention.
Even if you know my knowledge of Don Quixote is not much behind the Wishbone version go (sad, I) of what I do not know the story gives us Mrs. Bray, with a modern twist Going livestock and it is a sign from the Perfect for the classic. I would be happy to go with Don Quixote lighting a circle or a book club would be a great combination to see discussion.
I found the laugh Omitted strong as some other guests, but I thought it would be a lot of humor and heart, sometimes a combination hard to remove, but once again, Mrs. Bray, who has seamlessly. Cameron observations on life, love, family and friendship are all things that concern young people, and I think many readers are nodding to the words of Cameron. There are also some romance and adventure, which is always good.
I think the Printz Committee was bold and original in the selection of this, and I am impressed with their choice. I look forward to hearing feedback from my youthTitle-I read that he had a girl and they called it "interesting and different." I do not think that the appeal to all readers, but it works for a gem of a book to be found.
Note Book Audio: I do not quite know how the voice of the narrator as Dulcie sounded too volatile and Spacey did not fit my image of her. But for the rest of the audio book was excellent.
Full Disclosure: Although I received an arc from the publisher, I checked the audio book from the libraryWe read that instead.
