I tend to believe the facts and the book contains some disturbing facts that can be verified. I do not agree with the reviewers, just put your head in the sand and blame, for example, the Tea Party.
I can not help but think, if this or Sarah Palin (choose a name), people like Bonnie would be a wonderful contribution with praise for the author.
I am a registered independent for 46 years .. and yes I was white, was a veterinarian Vietham., Christain, he worked for NASA for manyYears (life skills and motivation!), But as Juan Williams, I want to have an educated analysis of all applications. calling the name does not trump verifiable facts and data contained in this book!

The reading of Dr. Moreau Iceland for the first time was incredible. I spent 30 years more than any book I'm trying to understand our ancient history, where we found come from, and I can not help but wonder if HG Wells knew something of this story when he wrote his book. In the work of Zacharia Sitchin, Enki the scientist we have comes from animal experiments to produce a hybrid of local species of ape-like creature and modern local people. It 's just aWells was mining meets or cellular memories.

While gene-splicing did Enki and worked with his sister (Genesis means beginning / Jan ISIS) Moreau had his assistant Montgomery drunk. On the island, Moreau says that the animals back to animals (called the mark of the beast), and they do when they see and taste the blood. E 'comment of the Wells' humanity that we are back to the animals when they are in the blood (wars) taste? I also have the mark of the beast, which equatedWells spoke with the disclosure and the dreaded Mark of the Beast, is to be the thought of a computer chip for some. Maybe it's just us again in our Creator animals from us. Tasting blood seems to turn us into animals.

I think this book Sitchin work on the parallels, as we grew up, should be read by animals through consciousless content to satisfy his curiosity and test its ability to see. As an assistant Moreau felt sympathy foranimals and wanted to teach and make friends with them. Enki was his sympathetic "creations of animals" and wanted to save his brother Enlil. Enlil wanted to destroy the animals (flood) because it was hurting and not the animals would follow the law.

I especially liked how when Moreau was killed by one of his animals, Montgomery Moreau tells the animals that had not died has just lowered its shape in the sky, and that the law is still in use,and its creator have been watching from above. Sounds like a priest to remain in power and keep the animals in most of the attempt to kill him.

If Pendrick finally gets off the island, which is no longer live with the rest of humanity can, because he always sought the shadow of the beast in their faces. Absolutely fantastic book. Read it and let it haunt you for the rest of your life.

When people hear the title, "Think and Grow Rich", their thoughts are automatically filled with images to get rich quick schemes and themes. I'll be the first to say that this book is any good book, but rich quick. While some light has to get rich, are the principles behind the book is much deeper than the surface.

Here are the most important things I got from the book:

1) To become great at anything in life, you must first learn, masterthemselves.

2) Life is much more material to reach a specific target. It's about the journey on the way to live, how life should be lived.

3) Nothing is impossible. Cliche as it may seem, it is more than true. Achieved by a strong commitment and faith that something is really able to get anything.

These are what I expect from the book that made the biggest impact on my life for the better. Words can not do justice, this is a must-read!

She goes to a university not too far from home, where she takes a job as part-time baby sitter for a family mystery. It turns out that this family has a big secret, which led to slightly novel.Tassie the place is always kept drawn deeper into their world, and will change forever. This novel dealsRace, class, love and loss, as we all saw and heard this extraordinary young woman. I found this a story that attracted me, and I felt the portrait of a girl from the Midwest average quite accurate. I would recommend this book as not to read the light, but as a story that make you think again and again.

Four hundred years ago, Francis Bacon warned that our minds are wired to deceive us. "Beware the fallacies into which undisciplined thinkers most easily fall--they are the real distorting prisms of human nature." Chief among them: "Assuming more order than exists in chaotic nature." Now consider the typical stock market report: "Today investors bid shares down out of concern over Iranian oil production." Sigh. We're still doing it.

Our brains are wired for narrative, not statistical uncertainty. And so we tell ourselves simple stories to explain complex thing we don't--and, most importantly, can't--know. The truth is that we have no idea why stock markets go up or down on any given day, and whatever reason we give is sure to be grossly simplified, if not flat out wrong.

Nassim Nicholas Taleb first made this argument in Fooled by Randomness, an engaging look at the history and reasons for our predilection for self-deception when it comes to statistics. Now, in The Black Swan: the Impact of the Highly Improbable, he focuses on that most dismal of sciences, predicting the future. Forecasting is not just at the heart of Wall Street, but it’s something each of us does every time we make an insurance payment or strap on a seat belt.

The problem, Nassim explains, is that we place too much weight on the odds that past events will repeat (diligently trying to follow the path of the "millionaire next door," when unrepeatable chance is a better explanation). Instead, the really important events are rare and unpredictable. He calls them Black Swans, which is a reference to a 17th century philosophical thought experiment. In Europe all anyone had ever seen were white swans; indeed, "all swans are white" had long been used as the standard example of a scientific truth. So what was the chance of seeing a black one? Impossible to calculate, or at least they were until 1697, when explorers found Cygnus atratus in Australia.

Nassim argues that most of the really big events in our world are rare and unpredictable, and thus trying to extract generalizable stories to explain them may be emotionally satisfying, but it's practically useless. September 11th is one such example, and stock market crashes are another. Or, as he puts it, "History does not crawl, it jumps." Our assumptions grow out of the bell-curve predictability of what he calls "Mediocristan," while our world is really shaped by the wild powerlaw swings of "Extremistan."

In full disclosure, I'm a long admirer of Taleb's work and a few of my comments on drafts found their way into the book. I, too, look at the world through the powerlaw lens, and I too find that it reveals how many of our assumptions are wrong. But Taleb takes this to a new level with a delightful romp through history, economics, and the frailties of human nature. --Chris Anderson

This book is a very interesting assembly, everything from financial theory to philosophy. It 's a fascinating race, not for readers looking for something lighter. Taleb is clearly a smart guy, and is mixed with everything from modern mathematics of the Greek medical theory, a detour to the world of travel estimates. At its core, the book challenges the economic modeling technique to treat the world as rational, and the corresponding error in mathematics,dictation. In short, extremes are random a much bigger impact on world history and financial markets on the basis of parent Gauss mathematics provides, as were made by many, many examples from practice. He offers an interesting, exciting and full of discussion is the mathematics involved, so it makes no sense, and the effects of a widespread following the math, and a series of pay systems in business processes that make no sense, asas the imbalance between reward and punishment in the banking system - taxpayers bail out banks that made terrible mistakes, while the CEOs make 100s of millions for the implementation of terrible decisions.

As someone heavily involved in the modeling business, I found the concepts of the book to be interesting and directly applicable. I would like to understand more deeply the book and some sections I'll probably read it again to get more out, but it was definitely a goodwritten book fascinating and challenging enough that in mathematics, history, mixed, and completely random interesting stories.

The Critique of Practical Reason "is the second book of the critical project of the great Immanuel Kant. Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) is one of the giants of philosophy, of his age or a different view. It is largely a book that forms the basis of this evaluation. Whether one loves Kant or hates him (philosophically, that is), you can not really ignore him, even when not directly involved in large-Kantian ideas, chances are that Kant made the impact.

Kant was aProfessor of philosophy in the German city of Koenigsberg, where all his life and career. Kant had a very organized and watches life - his habits were so regular that it was considered that the people of Konigsberg could set their watches by his walks. The same regularity was part of his publication history, until 1770 when Kant had a break of ten years in the publishing field. This was mainly because he has to work on this book, the Critique of Pure Reason. He published this secondRate Critique of Practical Reason ", seven years later.

Kant as a philosophy professor familiar with the Rationalists, like Descartes, who founded the Enlightenment and in many ways started the phenomenon of modern philosophy. He also knew the empiricist school (John Locke and David Hume are perhaps the best known names in this), which challenged the rationalist framework. Between Leibniz 'monads' and the development of Hume's empiricism to its logical (andend self-destructive) coupled with the romantic ideals embodied by Rousseau, the Enlightenment philosophy, the building seemed to tilt.

The foundation of this text (one is much shorter than the first complaint) is a short book "Foundations of the Metaphysics of Morals. While the" foundation "includes some short, basic principles, the criticism is a concise text - it takes these principles and combines them with the experience, is"As the structure of a peculiar cognitive faculty, in their natural combination."

According to the translator and scholar Lewis White Beck, this second criticism has two functions - affirms concepts' without which moral experience would be incomprehensible, or not at all ", while the dogmatism and fanaticism, which denies claims single vision in the final metaphysical realities. Kant makes his argument for the existence of the immortal soul and for God in this volume, but these areKant considered lesser areas. His discussion of freedom and autonomy to the front of his review in "foundation", takes place, is much more studied and used in contemporary philosophical circles.

Our company in the past with the consequences of linear thinking, which is dotted with believing that life is a series of if-then-or both-or decisions. This book describes the fallacy of this approach rose as we pave our way through the 21 Century. We can not continue on the left side of the brain to think it necessary to analyze our way through difficult situations. Despite the subtitle, is actually pink-setting, that to be successful in today's world, we need to connect the two hemispheres of the brain into thinking the whole brain. (Forthe reader to the brain, the left brain is sequential, logical and analytical, linear, and the right brain, intuitive and holistic.)

Pink proposal provides a framework for further systems of thought. As we age information for the conceptual age (similar to a transformation from the industrial entered the information age) move, those who are successful in creating high-concept (the ability to recognize patterns and to demonstrate the possibilityartistic and emotional beauty, to craft a satisfying narrative, and maintain independent ideas into something new) and high touch (the ability to empathize with others, to understand the subtleties of human interaction, where the joy in life and inspire other , and extend meaning and purpose). It also defines the two concepts in six core competencies: design, story, sympathy, empathy, play and meaning.

Pink devotes a chapter to each of the six senses, as he finds them,and at the end of each chapter, outlines what he calls a portfolio: a list of resources, exercises and tools to help the reader to the practice of the six senses. To think or think anyone interested in the practice of systems, this book is a must read. The audio version I heard was, rose by reading the book, which is extremely effective.
